Post Graduate Diploma from The Royal College of Paediatrics is recommended for GPs and other speciality hospital doctors working with children. At least 6 months paediatrics experience is desired however this is not compulsary.
The diploma is set out in two parts written papers and practical exams
Written paper - Part 1a of the MRCPCH exams - MCQ based paper with a mix of community, acute paediatrics and basic science.
Practical OSCE exam - There are 7 stations of different Clnical skills, History Taking, Examination Skills, Communication and Developmental assessment
